"TOTAL HEALTH"--CANDIDA ALBICANS

Dear Readers,

Candida albicans is a terrible health destroyer. It is a primary missing link in so many of our poor health conditions and diseases today. Candida is a yeast disorder that begins in the intestinal tract. Mine started at age ten when I received a long series of penicillin shots. Antibiotics kill all of the "good" bacteria while killing the "bad" bacteria or germs. If antibiotics are taken for very long, a fungal infestation can begin growing on the intestinal walls. The candida fungus is actually a parasite, living off of a person's food and making her or him continously hungry, especially for sweets and starches. If left unchecked, the candida eventually becomes imbedded in the walls of both the small and large intestines. The intestinal walls are the places that the nutrients from one's food are absorbed into the body. Consequently, when candida blocks the intestinal walls, the body is robbed of essential vitamins and minerals. Eventually the candida overgrowth can break through the walls of the intestines and become "systemic" (go into the whole system via the blood stream). Candida can affect any or all parts of the body. It puts out toxins that poison the tissues and can cause havoc everywhere. It should be considered a major culprit in many of today's poor health conditions.

The worst thing about candida is that most people do not find out that they have it until they are very ill. This is what happened to me. I had candida for thirty years before I had any awareness that such a thing existed. Chapter two of my autobiography is called "The Vicious Spiral Down". I state that "the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the sick get sicker." Candida can cause so many symptoms, seemingly unrelated to one another, that it is confusing to both patient and doctor. (Many doctors do not even believe that the candida disorder exists.) I'm here to tell you that it definitely does exist. I suffered with it for forty years, going from doctor to doctor with symptom after symptom. Many times I was given antibiotics, only making my candida worse.

SYMPTOMS OF CANDIDA ALBICANS

Candida symptoms are: fatigue, acne, irritability, premature aging, PMS problems, bladder infections, dry mouth, puffy eyes, heartburn, over-all bad feeling, allergies, burning eyes, colitis, diabetes, ulcers, muscle aches, bad breath, lethargy, poor memory, joint pain, chemical sensitivity, over and underweight, dizziness, finger or toenail fungus, infections, thrush or receding gums, coldness, shakiness, suicidal tendencies, dry skin and itching, insomnia, endometriosis, respiratory problems, laziness, anti-social behavior, colds, flu, low blood sugar, hemorrhoids, asthma, adrenal failure, thyroid failure, menstrual problems, hay fever, numbness, headaches, vaginal yeast infection, hyperactivity, depression, hormonal imbalance, intestinal pain, mood swings, food cravings, lupus, constipation, skin rash, hives, Epstein Bar Virus, diarrhea, no sex drive, malabsorption of nutrients, and gas and bloating. Of course, a person would not have all of these symptoms. I, personally, suffered from about a third of them.

Candida albicans has been the number one cause of my health problems. There are at least a dozen books and solutions to candida on the market today. During the past ten years I have read and tried most all of them. All candida sufferers should read THE YEAST CONNECTION by Wm. G. Crook, M.D. (My name is in the index and on page 393 in the older editions.)

CAUSES OF CANDIDA ALBICANS

Candida is most frequently caused by a weakened immune system. Then, candida entering the body, spreading its toxins from the intestines to the blood stream, causes the immune system to weaken even further. Also contributing to the weakening of the body's immunity are: antibiotics, birth control pills, cortisone, steroids, chronic infections, prolonged illness, poor nutrition, stress, smoking, abuse of alcohol, and lack of rest and exercise.

Another major cause of candida is an imbalance of hormones. Hormonal problems are brought on by birth control pills, excessive pregnancy, PMS, menstruation, puberty, and prescribed hormones. Females are more likely to have candida because their levels of hormones fluctuate frequently. The female hormone, progesterone, stimulates candida growth. Progesterone levels increase during pregnancy and the second half of the menstrual cycle. Birth control pills also contain progesterone.

High sugar consumption and an improper diet also contribute to candida. Candida yeast uses sugar rapidly, producing gases that are toxic to the body. The gases produced can be alcohol, acetaldehyde, ethanol and carbon dioxide. Refined carbohydrates, especially white flour products, soft drinks, and alcohol are special favorites of a candida condition. Even simple sugars such as molasses, maple syrup, and honey can aggravate candida. Although sugar and refined carbohydrates do not directly cause candida, they can cause a healthy colon to eventually turn into a lifeless pipe containing mucus, and impacted fecal material that will promote candida growth, along with other parasites. When the candida overgrowth covers the small intestine, it interferes with food assimilation. Its victim can become very nutritionally deplete.

A great contributor to poor health conditions caused by candida is a lack of friendly bacteria (acidophilus). These friendly flora are needed for proper digestion, assimilation, and elimination. They clean the colon of mucus and debris and destroy microorganism invaders. Disease and illness cannot take place in a body that is truly healthy. We are supposed to have three to four pounds of friendly bacteria in our colons at all times in order to have good health. The typical American diet plus medication and chemicals keep that friendly bacteria population way down.

HELP FOR CANDIDA ALBICANS

I am writing this information for YOU because I suffered from candida (along with hypoglycemia) for over 40 years. I have taken many different products for candida eradication. My biggest problem has been that I have thought that I was rid of candida when I was not. I learned several years ago that candida eradication takes a year of treatment plus a month for every year that a person has had it. Most all candida treatments include a product that kills all of the good and bad bacteria on the intestinal walls. These products are Nystatin, Capricin, Caprinol, etc. A second product is then needed to put the good bacteria back on the intestinal walls. These friendly bacteria products are known as acidophilus, bifidophilus,megadophilus, etc. I struggled with the balance of "taking out all the bacteria and then putting back the friendly bacteria" for many years. Note: Following is extensive information about the product that finally cured me from candida in the early l990's. Note that I took 12 capsules a day for a year, and continue to take one a day, probably for the rest of my life to avoid ever having candida again. These were personal instructions from the Lord to me. The bottle instructions say "Six a day for six months". Note: Be sure to work up gradually, starting with one capsule, then two, etc. This is to prevent too rapid "die-off" of the candida yeast, which could cause symptoms of illness.

SBO'S: SOIL BASED ORGANISMS--NATURE'S BIOTICS

Health and energy are not so much the presence of good, but rather the absence of the bad. This was especially true in the 19th century, when America was basically one large rural farming community, and the ingestion of fresh raw fruits and vegetables--often straight from the fields, or directly from gardens was commonplace.

Today however, human ingestion of SBO's and their beneficial bi-products is far less common. This is because modern agricultural techniques (including the over-application of powerful pesticides, fungicides and germicidal agents) and heat-based food processing techniques, tend to kill off SBO's on fruits and vegetables as well as destroy the beneficial enzyme, hormone and nutrient bi-products normally released by the SBO's and absorbed by the food plants as part of the normal growth cycle. Nonetheless, SBO's and their beneficial byproducts still manage to find their ways into the human system today, through this country with far less frequency than times past.

It is because of this that a number of nutritionists working on the cutting edge of orthomolecular medicine now speculate that the declining digestive intake of SBO's and their enzyme, hormone and nutrient bi-products is one of the chief reasons Americans tend to experience far more bowel and digestive system problems than do the people of other countries where modern high-tech farming and food processing techniques have yet to replace family farms and gardens. In other countries, SBO intake is markedly higher via the intake of fresh raw plant life, and digestive tract problems are correspondingly lower!

THE MAKING OF NATURE'S BIOTICS

In the late 1980s a reclusive scientist by the name of Peter Smith was on a trip overseas. While hiking through a pristine area of a foreign country, which, to this day, he won't name, he spotted some large clumps on the ground, which he recognized as huge colonies of soil-based microorganisms. Smith was intrigued by the unusual nature of what he saw, and brought some of the organisms back into the United States for research and experimentation. Later, he returned several times to the original location to obtain additional samples.

For the next few years, Smith conducted phased studies of the soil-based microorganisms he had discovered.

Phase # 1 was to identify the various strains of SBO's found living in the clumps.

Phase # 2 was to determine if the SBO's were toxic or pathogenic.

Phase # 3 was to ascertain what, if any, beneficial value these soil-based bacteria might be able to impart to living things, particularly animals and humans.

After considerable painstaking and detailed research the specific strains of soil-based bacilli Smith had discovered were identified. Toxicity tests proved negative on fingerling fish. In fact, far from being harmed, the fish began rapidly increasing in size when taking the bacteria. Then, toxicity test were carefully conducted on rodents and other members of the animal kingdom, with equally positive results. There was nothing toxic to animals in the bacteria. At the same time, extensive botany tests were conducted, which showed that the bacteria were amazingly beneficial to plants and soil.

Soon, Smith became the first human being to use the bacterial culture himself--first using it topically on open wounds, and later ingesting it. Again there were no toxic reactions to the bacteria, and there were no harmful side effects. In fact, the bacteria seemed to give increasingly positive health results as more and more of the organisms were consumed.

According to the source material obtained for this report, Smith's research was conducted in the laboratories of several major California universities. He collaborated with top professors and other research experts, and was able to utilize the facilities of the laboratories freely, as well as the computer data banks.

In the course of his research and experimentation, Smith and his laboratory coworkers were able to perfect a process for selectively breeding superior strains of the tiny microorganism, as well as for "grooming" them until they had a culture that, when ingested by humans, produced very specific and quite startling healing and immune stimulating results, with absolutely no toxic effects, or other unwanted side effects. The combined corporate effort of Smith and his university colleagues ultimately resulted in the development of the amazing Nature's Biotics food supplement product.

Nature's Biotics is manufactured as a gray-black powder.
